An opportunity to test yourself and your strengths, compete with friends, and again feel like you’re in the center of sporting events.
An opportunity for people who have no sports experience to join the Masters movement, but who started going to the pool and felt that they were interested in this sport.
The International Swimming Federation (FINA) has lifted the ban on professional athletes from participating in Masters competitions, so it is now possible to combine classic and Masters swimming tournaments.
MASTERS
RULES AND DISTANCES
People over the age of 25 can take part in the masters swimming championships, and the age is determined as of December 31 of the current year. For example, if you turn 25 in December, a person can enter tournaments as early as January, even though he is still 24 years old at the moment.
Athletes compete in age categories ranging from 5 years: 25-29 years, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 , 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100-104 years. This means that the competitions award winners and runners-up at each distance separately in each age group.
Indicators of sports achievements at various levels are rank requirements and norms, fulfilled under certain conditions and established taking into account the characteristics of sports, gender and age of athletes.
FMP RK is guided in its activities by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter, the rules of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), the Asian Swimming League, International treaties and agreements, International principles, norms and standards and internal documents of the Association.
